Portable wind Power
Purpose: To create an affordable and portable wind turbine in order to make renewable wind energy accessible to the average consumer.
Method: Construct a portable wind turbine that is small enough to be portable but powerful enough to charge small devices.
Benefit: Increased accessibility to renewable wind energy.

Gain Skills as a Student & Professional
From working on this project, members will gain knowledge and skills while performing R&D in the fields of Alternative Energy, Hardware Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. They will also learn methods to effectively create experiments, conduct testing, and analyze data of different types. Students will also be exposed to simulation and design programs such as AutoCAD or Aspen. Along the way, all members will have valuable practice with communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
