Fuel Cell design Team
Purpose: Create efficient off-grid sustainable energy systems for different on-campus locations.
Reversible Unitized Fuel Cell in circuit with solar-based energy source.
Benefit: Decrease the campus carbon foot print with renewable energy and increase the supply of study spaces on campus equipped with device charging capabilities.

Gain Skills as a Student & Professional
From this project, students will expand their knowledge of traditional circuits into energy systems. The project seeks to target the growing alternative energy industry and helps prepare students for system management and optimization.
It will provide students exposure to alternative power generation and allow students to design and create the most efficient operating condition and electrical pathway through analyzing the collected data of targeted area.
Students will learn how to collaborate with their team members and to attain a common goal together. The research they will do as a part of this team will require them to use the skills learned in their courses as well as to understand entirely new concepts as our work ventures away from our more traditional skill set. Finally, our project builds will give them practical experience working with exciting technologies and designing components.
